When do elemental rifts spawn
Finally, Blast Cones will spawn at the Gromp and Wolf camps and these feel the most impactful right now. They can make for some pretty interesting ganking or ambush plays with proper vision of course. If a team has been forced out of the jungle for long enough or if their vision just wasn't good to begin with the Cones can be used to hop over walls and quickly take out an enemy champion or two. Or they can simply get you across the map faster and give the enemy less time to react to the plays your team is making.
Where the Cones really stand out though is being able to change them all together sorry alcove Blast Cones. You can essentially take a Blast Cone from your base to the river while barely touching the ground.
The number of people in fights can change very quickly. However, be careful not to blast over too quickly and feed the enemy team at never before seen speeds! Cloud: This version of the Cloud Rift feels like a straight quality of life change from the previous version. The movement speed changes really make you feel rewarded for walking through the jungle, as opposed to running through a lane.
The Scryer Blooms outside of the bases are more important to the team that's behind or has just lost pressure on the map. They provide a great way to clear vision without using sweepers or red wards.
Or if your team isn't in a position to leave the base, the Blooms let you check for the enemy team before trying to challenge Baron or Dragon. The two new tri-brush Scryer Bloom's are more important when fighting around objectives. Either team can sweep the Baron or Dragon pit. Alternatively, they can be used to scout the enemy jungle and remove vision from the river entrances. Comment by silkfire Just noticed one near the entrance to Besseleth's vale in Stonetalon Mountains.
Killed the elementals around it but no device was spawned. Posting screenie. The elementals were of type Earth, specifically Rumbling Elemental. Comment by Found one in Storm Peaks, spawning earth elementals and fighting the local Valkyrion Aspirants. It seemed to despawn a couple of minutes after I first saw it. Comment by One of them has just spawned in Nagrand. It was spawning 62 lvl npcs called "Rumbling Elemental".
Comment by defectiveseth I was questing in Ashenvale forest when one of these spawned in Satrynaar. The fire elementals started fighting the Satyr there. I killed a bunch of the elementals but nothing happened.
After about 5 minutes it disappeared. Some other people in general chat said there was one near Aastranar. Comment by Eseira They seem to have 12 hp, each time you kill an elemental the rift spawns another at the cost of 1 hp. Comment by spinegrinder Found some in Arathi Highlands, level 30 lightning elementals. I didn't attempt to kill them but I did noticed that the rift itself is unkillable.
Went to Orgrimmar and found that the Doomsayers have been implimented. They must be all over Azeroth and Outland. It was spawning Surging Elementals, level 28, with HP but no mana. It was really neat looking. I killed a few of the Surging Elementals, who were casting Blizzard. No drops. More kept coming. I got the "Invalid target" message when I tried to kill the Elemental Rift. It was really pretty to say the least. Even before I got to Wowhead I figured it had to be Cataclysm related.
ETA: After writing this, I alt-tabbed back into game, and the entire thing was gone. Coords 79,67 on the Mirage Raceway. Comment by Chibimala Saw several outside of Everlook in Winterspring, spawning fire elementals. I killed the elementals until the rift "died", but found nothing at all after everything had been cleared. This was near the hippogryph zone, and as I came around to go back into Everlook, I could see at least 2 more rifts in the distance.
Interesting to say the least! Comment by Saw one in Southern Barrens near Field of Giants east side of the road , spitting out fire elementals.
